2009 - Omnijective essay: Holofractal impromptu n.8.

2009 - @metric muldimensional essay: Holofractal impromptu n.7.
Eufrasio Prates' experimental music and dance improvisation based on Koellreutter aesthetics notion of ametry and physics notions of multidimensionality, developed with support of Max/MSP virtual synthesizers (developed by John Bischoff and Eufrasio Prates and played by him and by Alex Sales) partially played by 4 Nintendo Wiimotes fixed on the dancer's body (Elisa Teixeira, dance and choreography) and, for about 10 minutes, two of them were manipulated by the audience. Presented at Cometa Cenas, IdA, UnB, Brasília, July, 9, 2009. Note that some people from the public were moving on stage and manipulating the wiimotes to interact with the sound live production in some parts of the performance.





2009 - @temporal essay: Holofractal impromptu n.6. Developed by Eufrasio Prates as a performance for the opening of the exposition "Capital Digital" in the Museum Estação Ciência, in João Pessoa (PB), held on Jun, 12, 2009, it is the final work for the discipline "Art and Technology" at the Doctorate in Contemporary Art of the Instituto de Artes of Universidade de Brasilia, under the advisory of Suzete Venturelli. The audience was invited to play along with the author through the manipulation of 2 Wiimotes and take active part of the performance, while Eufrasio Prates improvised on a macbook with the softwares FM Surfer (see details down below), X-FM (Max/MSP virtual AM/FM synthesizer) and SuperCollider (running 2 codes originally developed by Tim Walters).

Cyberpunk performance2009 - Holofractal impromptu n.5 at the Post-Happening "CyberPunk". Developed by Eufrasio Prates with the help of the drummer Alex Sales and of the dancer Elisa Teixeira, this impromptu was presented at the Post-Happening "CyberPunk", held on May, 7, 2009, at the Espaço Piloto Gallery, as a work for the discipline "Art and Technology" at the Doctorate in Contemporary Art of the Instituto de Artes of Universidade de Brasilia, under the advisory of Suzete Venturelli. The audience was invited to dance along with Elisa Teixeira and take active part of the performance, while Alex Sales and Eufrasio Prates improvised on 2 macbooks with the softwares FM Surfer (see details down below) and X-FM (Max/MSP virtual AM/FM synthesizer) over some dancing cyberpunk tunes (like Prodigy, Mortal Kombat soundtrack, Billy Idol and others).














2009 - Photosonic Shower: Holofractal impromptu n.4 at the Post-Happening "Art is Sex". Photosonic Shower (2009), by Eufrasio Prates, is a holofractal music impromptu experiment based on Suzete Venturelli's instalation "IdAnce", presented at the Post-Happening "Art is Sex", held on March, 20, 2009, produced as a work for the discipline "Art and Technology" at the Doctorate in Contemporary Art of the Instituto de Artes of Universidade de Brasilia. Audience was invited to dance and take a shower of sound and light, while Beatriz Salles and Eufrasio Prates improvised on 2 macbooks with the software FM Surfer (see details down below) over some dancing tunes.


FM Surfer 1.022009 - FM Surfer 1.02 for music live electronic improvisation. Software originally developed by John Bischoff on Max/MSP, enhanced by Eufrasio Prates for playing two virtual synthesizers via midi controllers. Runs only on Mac OS X and is available for beta-testing. 2008 - Eros Impromptus: Crotoxina 70 - Holofractal impromptu n.3. Dance and coreography by Soraia Silva, ciberscenery by Tânia Fraga and music by Eufrasio Prates. 2007 - Frênix / Frêmix: Holofractal impromptu n.2. Created for the opening of the VI Encontro Internacional de Arte e Tecnologia.
Contemporary dance performance coreographed by Soraia Silva on the music transcreation by Eufrasio Prates, with the especial participation of the chinese dancer Zou Mi. Ciberscenery were created by Suzete Venturelli, Ana Lemos and Camille Venturelli, and the visual interface was developed by Ricardo Queiroz and Rafael Galvão. 2006 - Holofractal impromptu n.1 over William Burroughs' voice.
Recorded at the Sous Marin-34 Studio<www.sous-marin34.com>, in Paris (France), Oct/2006, with the improvisation of the Tunisian singer Imen Tnani as part of her doctoral research at Sorbonne - Paris IV Dept of Music and Musicology. Listen to the recording at <www.purevolume.com/eufrasioprates>.

2006 - Mutations for voice, sound-hexagrams, incense sticks and Tai Chi practitioner.

2002 - Luminálito, for 2 voices, woodwind and digital soundtrack on exploding lamps.
